Exchanging knowledge with commercial partners is seen as a very important part of the University's future funding strategy. So they asked us to create a brochure with a strong visual impact which would stand out from the other university literature. Another requirement was that it had to have strong 'green' qualities - as well as printing on 100% recycled stock, we devised a self-contained wrap-around cover that meant it could be mailed out without the need for an additional envelope or polybag. We organised all the photography, art directing the portrait shots with a very short depth of field to create a feeling of 'an insight into a hidden world'. Particular attention was given to all the typography to ensure maximum impact and readability.
